Keep up to speed with new advancements happening inside the HubSpot platform. Connect your GoDaddy DNS even easier in HubSpot now, plus new dashboard filters!
It's tough to stay on top of all the new developments coming out for any platform. We do our best to keep up to speed so that we can share those items with you when the time is right. This week, HubSpot announced a few new changes that should be very useful.
HubSpot Integrates with GoDaddy Connect
Whether you are an existing HubSpot user or an organization that is still in the research phase of moving into a Marketing Automation Platform like HubSpot (which also offers social media tools, an advanced CRM, and CMS), there's a chance this week's new announcements will have an impact. First off, one of the most common places to register your domain name, GoDaddy, has a new integration at HubSpot that will probably take the edge off of those tasks related to your digital property. If you are thinking of migrating your digital properties into HubSpot (whether your blog, just some landing pages, or multiple pages as a CMS) and you currently have your domain hosted via GoDaddy, HubSpot will now make one step automatic.
As of now, when you type your hosted domain into the HubSpot settings, it will automatically scan your domain to see if it is hosted by GoDaddy. If it is, you'll be prompted in the same window to sign in to your GoDaddy account. This takes a lot of the guess work and manual efforts out of making sure that you've connected your CMS and your domain hosting, and will be a great time-saver for many clients. Are you on GoDaddy? Are you looking at migrating into HubSpot? Take a look at this new advancement.
HubSpot Adds Flexibility to Dashboard Filters
Also, as of today, HubSpot has announced a new development in the way filters work with the reports that you might see in your HubSpot dashboards in the sales or marketing portals. These allow for each widget in a dashboard to have a custom filter applied. One of the benefits of that is that users of the platform can now include individual reports with different date ranges, owner or pipeline filters instead of having to set dashboard-level filters.
According to HubSpot, "Prior to today’s change, each of your HubSpot dashboards was required to have a 'global' context --- date range, owner, and pipeline --- that applied to every report on the dashboard." This new filtering configuration is available on any dashboard, not just the default sales and marketing dashboards. It also makes it easier to compare and contrast different items in the same dashboards.
